This is the moment a crazed motorist leads police on a two-mile high-speed chase around an unfinished golf course in Florida.
The suspect drives erratically around course land in an apparent attempt to hit officers in a lorry who were trying to arrest her.
The man – who appears to be in his 30s – has a history of parole issues and is detained by SWAT officers.
Florida Highway Patrol told WPTV she was “aggressively tailgating other drivers and refusing to stop for troopers.”
Tucson police cited 23-year-old Ajay Dawes, who is from Summer Haven, for two felony charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding and driving on a suspended licence.
She was released on bond.
Tucson police initially thought she had hit an officer but when they got closer they realised the car was hit as she tried to crash.
Initially the suspect was going at 60mph but had turned it down to 30mph after being told by her family not to drive.
Guarding since the afternoon for the moment the police do turn it off, the man continues to lead police on a winding two-mile chase in the dark.
The woman eventually finally drops off at a traffic stop and points her driving licence at the officers as they carry out their assault on her.
Police Chief Chris Magnus told WPTV they had been looking for her since 11pm on Thursday and the driver had previous arrests including fleeing a sheriff’s department car.
“Anybody here with any type of residence is stuck in their house with a family member you can’t leave the house or anyone else,” he said.
The Florida Wildlife Commission is investigating to determine if the woman had committed any wildlife violations.
“Some wildlife people would call us, say ‘well if you can arrest someone for that you can also arrest someone for that’,” he said.
